I would have probably just used some rust treatment hammerite on the bar though.

 

It seems like a shame to hide those stainless bits away.

 

I know they are all so shiny haha

 

The front ARB was fine but the rear being more open to the elements had a bit of flaking so I just had both bars done :)

Well moving on I have collected a load of carbon dipped parts I had done...

 

*5 Main Dash Panels

*Washer Bottle Cap

*Engine Oil Cap

*Power Steering Cap

*Fuse Box Cover

*ABS Relay Cover

*Door Cups

*Inner Door Cups

*Passenger Glove Box Lock Cover

*Centre Console Latch

*Brake Fluid Cover

*All Dash Vent Surrounds

*Dashboard Vent (under the Windscreen)

*Electric Windows Surrounds

Turn around point today I started reassembling things..

 

I spent hours cleaning 17-18 years worth of dust from behind and around the dash including all the air pipes then fitted the carbon bits and got the dash back in.

 

And of ofcourse fitted the black painted dash bar, much better than rust.

It may be 10c outside but in my garage it's always -numbers

 

Here's a pic my mate thought amusing...
