I was planning to change my rubbers too but after reading up some where on the forum, you could just remove the top rubbers on the boot lid and placed some washers in between. Scooter Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 I cut a slot in mine too with a mini hacksaw blade and heated them with a soldering iron. I would cut the slot before attempting undoing with a phillips screwdriver as you'll keep a nice clean slot. You need to be patient if things aren't going well step back and reheat/reassess!
