So my question is this how have people got there old ones out successfully? Hi Matt. I was planning to change my rubbers too but after reading up some where on the forum, you could just remove the top rubbers on the boot lid and placed some washers in between. Boot rattle sorted and cheap and cheerful.
David P
They're in with Loctite, use heat from a gas blowlamp on the threads and they'll come out.
MattP
This Supra deserves the best all will be changed no cutting corners on this one .....
Suprahitz
Or a soldering iron set to high temp should loosen the loctite...
Josh42
I used a little Dremel with a cutting disc to cut a slot across the face of the bolt then used a BIG flathead screwdriver to get them out
TheTurtleshead
This Supra deserves the best all will be changed no cutting corners on this one ..... Cut the old rubber away and you will have access to get onto the head of the screw with mole grips etc...

SupraD06
Mine must have been changed at some point then as mine were a doddle. All i did was get a brand new screw driver and hammer it down tight into the screw and with a bit of effort they just came out.
Rich.2211
Mine must have been changed at some point then as mine were a doddle. All i did was get a brand new screw driver and hammer it down tight into the screw and with a bit of effort they just came out. Mine were the same on my previous Supra. Took about two minutes, I must of been lucky!

Scooter
I cut a slot in mine too with a mini hacksaw blade and heated them with a soldering iron. I would cut the slot before attempting undoing with a phillips screwdriver as you'll keep a nice clean slot. You need to be patient if things aren't going well step back and reheat/reassess! trebor69
Cut the rubber away and use a pencil torch to apply some heat to the heads of the screws then use a perfect fitting screwdriver and they come straight out ......the loctite needs heating to free up
