(with fuel) dried it off and touched it against the block.. got a friend to crank it and it didnt spark.. battery seems fine as it cranks quickly what would be next to check? any suggestions of what it could be? Dnk
Er could it not be the coil, i'd be checking that before you start changing rotor arms, leads or caps.
rob_sri
It started on the first crank this morning and ran perfectly!! How odd!!
Dan_Q
if its the coil, in my experience they tend to break down and start misfiring under load but run OK at idle etc. I normally work way back from the plugs replacing plugs, leads, cap, arm, igniter, coil. If its just suddenly stopped though i'd check for a loose connection on igniter / coil etc too.
rob_sri
Yeah.. I mean it didn't cut out or anything I turned it off and the next morning wouldn't start.. It may have been a loose connection from the igniter-dizzy but wouldn't start last night as It had flooded.. I pulled all the connections off and gave them a quick spray with WD40 to make sure there was no moisture in there This morning no issues after the plugs had dried out but doesn't explain the no spark.. Il just have keep an eye on it now I suppose!
