berg
Currently have my headlight in 2 pieces as it needs re-sealing, been having some major condensation issues with it. Can someone advise me on the best sealant to use to reseal it back together? Cheers
Fizzy T
I used a clear silicone sealant like you find it B&Q etc. Sorted my misting up for a few months but I find it comes back after a while so it's possible it shrunk a tad. I'm pretty sure most people use a black or clear sealant though.
Graham1984
I would ask Scott M as he is doing this as a hobbyist so might have some good recommendations.

jim
I've tried various over the years, windscreen bonder is best, Sikaflex. It's not particularly cheap compared to a normal silicone at £10+ but you'd get probably 4-5 full seals of a light per tube. It's worth taking your time and being as thorough as possible, clear out all the old stuff, and make sure you get all the way round with the new stuff, including a finger smoothed bead around the join at the end of the process. Nothing worse than putting them back together and them misting up again within a few days!
Westy
I used black silicone and I've had no issues. Take cognisence of the above advise re clearing out the old sealant and taking your time.
