Josh42
Hi all, Looking for some advice before I go and spend my life savings;) on all new suspension arms. For the last week or so I've been experiencing a knocking(clunking) from both sides of the rear of my supra when going over slight imperfections in the road. I have already replaced the rear anti roll bar drop links, boot rubbers and have set about locating the noise. I have found some play in the O/S/R wheel when wobbled @ 3-9 o'clock, but none when wobbled from 6-12. No play on the N/S/R. The O/S/R wheel is definitely more difficult to rotate than the N/S/R. I have re torqued the suspension bolts and front subframe to stock figures and I'm now a little at a loss as to what could be next to try? Struts are KYB Gas-A-just and are around 5 years old having covered only sub 20000 miles. Springs are Tein S-Tech. Any ideas welcome. listy
Could it be a wheel bearing? Hub problems?

Dnk
Regarding the rotation it could be either the handbrake is dragging or the caliper is seizing. Play side to side could well be the top arm bushes. Does the o/s/r feel any hotter near the caliper/disc ? I'd pop the wheel off and see if you can move the caliper easily, ease the pads away from the disc and rotate the wheel to see if its any easier to turn, if not try backing off the handbrake and check the rotation again Edited December 15, 2013 by Dnk (see edit history)

I'll eradicate the wheel bearing from the issue and go from there. Is it typically the bush or the ball joint that goes?
Dnk
It was bushes on my rear upper arms, there is a thread on here from Tim Mr2 linking to a place on ebay selling the rear upper arm bushes but god knows if there any good or even the same as o/e, i'm pretty sure the o/e aren't a simple plain bush Edited December 15, 2013 by Dnk (see edit history)

Josh42
Hi guys, have had a look again today. I think I've ruled the top mount out and had a look at potentially it being a wheel bearing or suspension arm. I can't see any movement in either. I'm completely at a loss as to my next steps now. Rear subframe bolts?
