Noise from fan driving me mad!

Big Mark

Recommended Posts

For the last few days there has been a sound that is extremely irritating and is best described as sounding like something trapped in the interior fan being hit by the fan blades.

Finally got time to investigate today and I could actually hear it from the outside slightly coming from the scuttle panel which had some dry leaves in it but with these removed it was still there.

So some further investigation and it appears to be coming from what I guess is a fan located under the far lower left of the dash, visible from having my head in the passenger footwell.

Has anyone had this before or any ideas exactly what it could be? Also, how easy/hard is it to take this item apart, I really don't want to be removing the dash.

Prob is some leaf in there

Put it on full see if it clears

Had it on full and it's still there.

See the light grey oblong shape on the right hand side of that pic? Thats the pollen filter or where is should be, have a look in there and see if you can see anything.

I didn't think Supras had a pollen filter. I'll have a look tomorrow if I get a chance.
