drift_bear
Hey guys done a quick check and came back with what it could be, but wanting to make sure I know exactly what it is so I can fix the problem. I'm trying to sort the issue out from this thread and it's throwing up this code. I've already changed the distributor on it cause it sounded like a problem with that. The error 12 code comes back with The car in question is. 1993 Jspec NA auto
Swampy442
Well the cars generally don't lie so Id say if its throwing a 12 then check/change the crank sensor.

Swampy442
Its tucked behind the crank pulley but you should be able to access it from the bottom of the car. - - - Updated - - - Its tucked behind the crank pulley but you should be able to access it from the bottom of the car. James
Undertrays off (if there are any) and get underneath it. The crank pulley isn't that bad for access to be honest.

Just need to try get a sensor now, hopefully if we can get to it then can check the whole sensor and give it a clean. Not used to this NA malarkey

Going by the workshop manual there isn't a crankshaft position sensor (I couldn't see one anyway) for a GE
Kirk
And you'd be right by saying that. GE's don't have one, it's all done on the distributor gear.

That's what I thought, knew I wasn't cracking up.... What can I check/fix now then. It had a 1JZ distributor in before so I changed it to a 2JZ one
