cainhead
Quick question. Just fitted my hks ssqv on the inlet manifold pipe and in a different thread was told to remove the stock one and bung the end. Can anyone tell me if you remove the stock one completely and bung the metal ends, or just remove the the actual bov and bung the rubber hoses. Cheers for any help. Mk4Gaz
You can leave the stock one in place, or remove it and bung the hoses, or remove it and bung the metal ends
cainhead
If I leave the stock on in place will I lose any boost. Cheers for the replies
Robzki
Possibly if it was leaking. You can get pipe stubs and stop ends easily on ebay, just measure your pipes.
cainhead
Doesn't seem to be leaking, just thought it would be easier to leave the stock one on if it doesn't need to be removed
safcdixon
You will make a neater job if its removed, for the sake of an extra couple of mins I would take it out its only a couple of hose clamps, mine was already fitted when I bought the car so cant advise on the removal
Robzki
Mine was leaking, didn't really know until I changed it. Not much but enough to make a noticeable difference when removed. Not much reason to leave it on. Think of the weight advantage. Must be worth 0.000006 on your 0-60.
