LOGIE
Hi guys im connecting my rad fan connectors to my rad fan. 2 plugs are the same in the twin fans but the 2 connectors on the bay loom arnt. One is different. Was there a change with facelift rad shrouds?
ScottC
The larger female plug in the bottom pic looks like the one that goes to the front mounted electric fan. It normally gets removed if fitting a fmic.

ScottC
Early TT's only had one small, rear mounted electric fan, later models have two. I aussume both models had the front mounted fan to assist the aircon. Could it be/have you identified the thermostat plug?

Just looking now mate for a possible connector for it

TheTurtleshead
Airccon temp sensor that goes in the bottom of the rad? I think it was for the aircon fan that higher models had. There's an aluminium plug in the bottom of that rad you got off of me, where the temp switch normally sits.
LOGIE
Any luck? No mate, its got me stumped. Airccon temp sensor that goes in the bottom of the rad? I think it was for the aircon fan that higher models had. There's an aluminium plug in the bottom of that rad you got off of me, where the temp switch normally sits. I don't think it would reach that far down, then again I could be wrong. Does that mean I need to source a temp switch for the bottom of the rad mate? Also have no MANU mode. TheTurtleshead
Yeah it should reach, it's not that far. It looks like that plug to me. I had to use the switch for my car lad. It's got the factory aircon fan etc.. The plug isn't done up properly. Needs a sealing washer as well. Just incase you hadn't spotted that. No worries at least I know now, I never noticed mate so i'll have fun trying to put a washer in without draining the rad again.
ScottC
Does your loom look something like this? Edited December 1, 2013 by ScottC (see edit history)
LOGIE
Yep similar mate I have twin fans on the shroud, but my bay loom only has one connector that fits them (so only one is running) and the addional smaller plug which I am assuming is for the aircon temp sensor. TheTurtleshead
Without the sensor plugged in, it will run all the time I think. Keron's probably got a sensor.
