Marco79
After some help peeps I'm now fitting an oil cooler and want a thermostatic sandwich plate for the take off but I can't find any with sensor ports? Has anyone suggestions or links where I might find one?
Kaan W
I wondered this also, do you not fit 2 together?

Al Massey
What sensors are you wanting? Guessing temp and oil pressure? I'm pretty sure no thermostat plate has any sensor holes. But there are a lot better places for sensors than a sandwich plate as they aren't accurate

Oil sandwich plate is nice and handy to keep all wiring tucked away so it's a shame it can't be done

The problem with sandwich plates is it compresses the oil so oil pressure would be inaccurate. So I would search for Lexus bolt mod, it is on here as a guide with part numbers, use that for pressure. And for oil temp, as you are using an oil cooler, maybe see if there is a block, or adapter or get one made up for a sensor to fit in to the pipes before or after it goes to the cooler. hodge
The thermostatic sandwich plates don't come with npt ports. Just fit 2 plates 1 on top of the other.

Problem I see there is being a thermostat plate there wouldn't be oil flowing to the cooler until at temp which would confuse the hell out of the syvecs. I'm an na-t so already tapped into the bolt for oil feed. The thermostatic sandwich plates don't come with npt ports. Just fit 2 plates 1 on top of the other. Ok mate is this not a really chunky way? Would the thermostatic one go on first? Also is there one long adaptor bolt or can 2 somehow screw into each other to mount the plates? Two will bolt together easily
Marco79
Thanks guys Looks like will have to do that then! Anyone else with ideas?
Kaan W
Maybe something like this - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/fittings-accessories/lma-oil-pressure-t-piece
David P
I drilled and tapped ports for temp and pressure gauge into the filter mount block. Edited November 30, 2013 by David P (see edit history)
berg
You could always take the oil temp from the sump and then union bolt for the pressure, only thermostat plate needed then

You could always take the oil temp from the sump and then union bolt for the pressure, only thermostat plate needed then I've already tapped the bolt for na-t oil feed maybe a T piece of some sort could take the sensor? Anywhere in particular on the sump mate? Is this something you have done/seen?
David P
Only pics I have are in 'my garage', yet the sensors can't be seen, it's just two drilled and tapped holes.
