It's to stop people using the site to sell something then buggering off, there are purpose sites for that and they charge for the privilege. It's also to stop con artists and other unsavoury characters from pulling a fast one on our members, when they have to part with cash they usually disappear. This site is here to help members with technical questions, so people can show / talk about their cars and so people can find parts to fix / improve their cars.
