Guest Budz86
Think it's just behind the battery on the side of the block. If you follow the neg. from the terminals you should see it quite easily
Kaan W
I had one from the fuel filter to the transmission. Dont think there's many more.

LOGIE
Cheers Scott but that diagram doesn't seem to have the battery terminal earths...or im being stupid (again, likely this) EA. alternator ED. starter EB. Top of chassis just behind battery tray EC.????? is that on the engine block itself?
LOGIE
This is driving me nuts guys. THIS last earth is a fat bastard ie well insulated/heat protected so im guessing it goes onto the block or somewhere HOT??? Where..where..where..? Scott
That big heavy one bolts onto the chassis bud. At least as far as I can remember. Passenger side bolted right onto the actual chassis itself, halfway between the front and rear of the bay, just down from the strut tower. I don't have one on the passenger side apart from the one that connects to the alternator.
Scott
This is the one I'm thinking of... Left arrow shows the 2 cables together, right arrow shows the battery terminal IIRC, I believe the other cable is bolted onto the chassis. I have the yellow arrowed one in place its right behind the battery tray.
Scott
I've drawn another little arrow to show where I think it's bolted. I'm fairly certain it's around this area, mounted on the side of the chassis, it's not mounted on the top.

Thanks Scott, im taking a mental pic now... using an imaginary line from the fuse box for orientation. I was looking on top of the chassis. This is what happens when you come back to an engine after removing it 4 month previous, id forget my bollocks if they weren't in a bag. Cheers much appreciated mate
ScottC
Here's a pic of the one that goes to the chassis, but mine has a different lug to the one you have Can you take another pic of the wire you are talking about showing more of the cable? LOGIE
The large one im holding in post #6 is actually bent back towards me its supposed to run towards the rear...but I cant find where it was originally bolted to. that's why I was originally thing it should be on the block. Its long. Edited November 24, 2013 by LOGIE (see edit history)
markssupra
Have you connected the neg one onto the side of the block, just under the oil filter and to the right of the engine block number. The other cable you can see runs to the starter motor and is clamped to the engine mount.
