Iky
Is it the factory sizes you're after? front - 235/45/17 rear - 255/40/
James
Did you conduct your search in Russian? I did a search for 'stock tyre sizes' and was presented with a link to this thread: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?286066-stock-tyre-sizes&highlight=stock+tyre+sizes Reply number 1 indicates that they are 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear. I have run my Supras (varying tyre sizes, types etc.) at 30psi with no issue.

I typed in tyre size 17 :/ Ok so 30psi, i thought they were meant to be much higher than that on stock 17's. would i be ok running 255/45/17 on the rear? Fizzy T
If you open the drivers door and look on the door shut panel there should be a sticker that tells you all the info.
Iky
I run 36psi for long motorway drives, but 34 for normal round town or spirited driving.

Not out of choice out of value for money when it comes to tyre. *Edit* Sorry the first link says its a 3.93% difference, so im guessing that is a straight no no to do then... But if someone in the no could comment that would be great. on the limit and got a very long drive down south tomorrow and only tyres i can get off shelf near me at a cost suitable are 45 profile. scott87
Ok I still can't find an answer. The tyre place has said that going up to 45 profile on the rear will be fine. Is this correct. There is a hell of a difference in price! If not does anyone have some stock 17inch rear tyres for sale?
Littler
It would gear the car up going to a 45 profile, your speedo will be out too. I'd also imagine your geo would need setting up again to account the size change. I understand your working to a cost but bare in mind with Supra's tyres wouldn't be a place I'd cut cost

I understand your working to a cost but bare in mind with Supra's tyres wouldn't be a place I'd cut cost Its purely the fact that i can't get a tyre in the size that is on the car at the moment, unless i buy online bt places are funny about fitting them then. It had 45 on before and i swapped to 40's but these are now nearly dead. So just need some fresh rubber that isn't 300 quid a tire.
scott87
Ok thanks. Could i use a 265/40/17 rather than a 255/40/17 on the rear?
LOGIE
Ok thanks. Could i use a 265/40/17 rather than a 255/40/17 on the rear? I curreny have 275 on the rear (stock 17s) with no issues. I got them this way but ill being going with recommend sizes when I get the next set.
