LOGIE
I was attempting to fit a TT engine bay loom into my car today (NA-TT) and I noticed a connector presant on the loom that isnt on the old NA loom. Its one of the connectors that goes into the passenger footwell. Can anyone shed some light on what its for? Im not overly concerned about it as the other connectors match up and wiring is the same. Homer
I don't remember that one, but if you can wait until tomorrow I can have a check on my car. I have a TT loom out of the car and the one in the car is easy to get to/photograph (The interior is still removed)

My car was originally NA so it might not have a connector to marry up to it, but id like to know what its for. Any help is appreciated. No worries, Steve and I only replaced that loom 2 weeks ago, but he did the foot well plugs so I didn't pay attention. Will have a look tomorrow and track where the wires go if no one answers in the mean time. BTW, is the loom from a jspec non-VVTi TT or something else? There are differences so just checking up front first.

ScottC
If it's yellow it might be something to do with the air bags.
Kev.O
Is there a connector in the footwell for it to plug into?
LOGIE
Is there a connector in the footwell for it to plug into? Dont think so mate. I never seen one in the cluster of sockets. Wire colours are 1.white with thin black stripe. 2. white with thin blue. 3. Grey. 4. Black with thin red with silver dots ( this is usually a power cable from previous experience)
LOGIE
If it's yellow it might be something to do with the air bags. Good call. That would make sense. My car never had air bags. Ive just looked at an airbag I have lying about and it has a yellow plug.
