marbleapple
Evening all I have a UK spec TT. I've replaced the UK spec rear clusters with the pre facelift J spec clusters with j spec looms because I like having the two rear red lights next to each other and shining bright when my lights are on. With j spec clusters and j spec looms the standard fog light switch doesn't work. I understand this to be because the j spec loom doesn't have all the 'bits' to connect to the fog light cable that goes to the switch in the dash. I understand though that the uk spec loom does. If I use a UK loom in my j spec lights only one of the 2 red lights come on until I turn the fog light switch on, and then the bulb lights up. This is not what I want(1), I'd like them both on just like the j specs with one becoming brighter when the fog light switch is turned on. Does anyone know of anyway to have the pre facelift j spec lights have 2 red lights with one becoming a fog light when the dash Fog light switch is pressed? As it stands I'm tempted to keep the j specs lights in without a fog light and just swop one over to a UK spec light with a UK loom prior to the MOT but would prefer a permanent fix. Cheers guys Ric (1) As an aside, I can't get the uk spec fog light bulb bulb in one of the bays for the red light cluster so even if I could get it to stay on all of the time it still wouldn't fit.
