Me 2. I booked time off work ages ago.

My wife came up with an interesting idea. As it's so popular. As soon as it's announced there will be a dragonball but the details have not been confirmed. Time, date, no hotels or train booked yet etc. Yet people are flexible enough to confirm they will attend. And can or are willing to pay a decent amount up front. Say £150. That's non refundable. They should then be garenteed a place.

Me for example. I have the money available and can get time off work without issue. I without a doubt want to go, regardless of where we are going to.

Id happily pay up now for a ticket for next years dragonball if I could.

You could go further and say you could only do the above if you have been to say the last 2 consecutive trips?

It might remove the lottery rush element of people getting into the 2 min window before they sell out.

And also allow people to book who know they can go 100% then we don't get people dropping out and having to sell the tickets.

An official waiting list might be a good idea. If you miss out on the tickets. Reply to this thread then we have some record who should be offered any tickets first rather than who happens to see the for sale thread.

Just a thaught

Thats not really fair now is it, the fairest and probably easiest way for JB and Steve to do it is how they have been doing it for many years and besides how many people dropped out at the last minute last year and sold there tickets on.

Around 8pm tonight folks, the last tickets go on sale.

There have been loads of suggestions about how to make it fair, eg let the DB11 people have first go, then the Db12 and then the DB13 but how would I then make sure all the Db11 people have got their tickets.

Do a name out of a hat type thing, but then people who are not desperate to go might get picked.

Charge a lot more for the event, then only the richer members can attend.

Put all tickets out in one go, then people who are away on holiday will miss them.

Do more than 1 event a year....thats currently being considered.

So there is no fair way to do this, so sadly I have to make it unfair for all and let the bundle begin each time we release tickets.

The fair way to do it is announce a couple of weeks before hand when the tickets will go on sale (time, date etc) and space them out over a week or so, then just go with it :)

With a club this size and an event this popular, you're never going to keep everyone happy for one reason or another, but the shear number of people that want to do this tells you how much of an awesome job you guys have all done in previous years! Keep it up!

Can I come on both trips ;)

The way its being done seems perfectly fair, give a release time and let the fight begin - He who has the quickest finger wins.

Next year, Im going to buy loads and sell them off for a profit ;)
