Jake
Should you? Your choice if it's worth the effort. It's a lot of work and money. Could you? I doubt it. Concentrate on getting your Shift Key working first. TLicense had an Auto converted to Manual. Do a search for his very good write up. Guest gzaerojon
How much!!! how about buying a tt 6spd supra and doing a swap over then selling it as an auto? will i have everything i'll need if i do it this way? if it works it would bring the cost down a bit, even if i take a fair drop on the price when selling the auto sup
TLicense
It'll cost you in the region of £3,500 if you go for a "stock" set-up with a 2nd hand gearbox and propshaft. A brand new gearbox from Toyota is massively silly money (IIRC >£3000!!) not sure about the propshaft but probably a couple of hundred at least. I spent over £8K on my conversion but I've got a few non-standard bits!
Ark
There's a conversion guide with pictures here: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/auto_to_6spd_swap/index.html HTH

JohnA
For the record, I agree with Jake, it's just that I now refrain from such comments because I've been branded a Hitler and an ashoole a few times too many. I still enjoy when others jump in though. Especially with txt-language newbie wonderkids, lol...

JohnA
That's what it sounded like. I'm a phonetic guy. On top of that I think it's bad taste to correctly spell such words in a public forum - don't you?

dangerous brain
A front end smacked car will have all the bits you want and saves you the effort of selling a manual car thats been swapped to an auto, that will be difficult and the difference in cost between a manual and an auto is enough before you go altering it.
