Guest nasescobar
Hi Ever since watching fast and furious as a kid Ive always wanted a toyota supra and remember saying one day i will get one lol. Well ive got the cash and thinking of getting one however I have a few questions What sort of price range is acceptable Ive seen this neat supra on ebay, what price is reasonable for a supra like that? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MK4-NON-TURBO-/151159556090?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2331cfc7fa also a few other questions 1) can it be used as a daily car for commuting to and from work, is it reliable or am i better of getting a second car for commuting as well and using the supra on weekends 2) Is inusrance cheaper as its a classic car 3) If something goes wrong on a non turbo what are the repair costs like finally im actually really tempted by the supra on the above ebay link, is there anything there that may put you off??? Sorry for all the questions
Dnk
A lot depends on your personal finances, a supra even non turbo isn't great on fuel and expect to get around 20 mpg on local driving. As for repairs it depends what you call expensive, for example i replaced all my suspension arms on my car and the parts bill alone was more than the asking price for the car your looking at. Get quotes from the specialist and online ins comps, it will vary massively dependent on your personal circumstances. age, points, postcode, etc etc Whatever you look at check it out thoroughly and ask lots of questions regarding parts that have been replaced as these cars are now getting old and quite a lot will need a fair bit doing in the very near future unless its already been done. Search on here for the buying guide and the present owners posts etc and you'll get a better idea about the car and the weak links on a mkiv, trust me they're good but they're not bullet proof as some will have you believe Good luck Edited November 15, 2013 by Dnk (see edit history)

Have a dig through the guides on the forum front page and use the search bar for any off the wall questions but if all else fails just ask the question. Have a good dig through its history and check its reciepts.
