Vented bonnets and rain

I cut holes in a standard bonnet like this one,

(Not my actual bonnet)

 

I stuck perspex at the back of the hole, wedging some mesh inbeween and painting the back of the perspex black then I put the carpet back without cutting holes in it.

That way I get the look of having vents without having to deal with rainand snow getting on my battery and air filter.

Never had an issue with water with my Jun Bonnet, guess it must be well designed to make sure the water goes to the right places

 

As said above, make some shields out of fibreglass

 

With the Blitz bonnrt clearance can be an issue if changed anything under the bonnet like a strut brace
