Jordanmol
Hi I have just bought my first tt supra had a na a year ago and loved it but just thought I needed more power but now I am stuck as I don't know anything about the car here's what I do know and if anyone could point me in the right direction or if I have bought the wrong car lol 1994 supra turbo 2jz gte engine 6 speed manual Is this a vvti? What's the value? It has the interior stripped out and really could do with a respray although there is no rust just paint fade. It is very quick and possibly running around 450bhp

kitch79
not a vvti, its a pre-facelift. vvti came in later on, 1997 I think. with the very brief info youve given, thats all I can say ha
welshbuddy
put some photos up mate, we can tell me more then. it would be non vvti as the year. if in good outside condition and just interior ripped out, it would be 7k+
SupraD06
First of all, Welcome and congratulations on your new purchase. If it is still on the stock turbo setup, id be very surprised if it was running that kind of power. Do you have any paperwork or any info on what work may have been carried out? Where was the car purchased from as it may be a forum member or a known car on here. Any engine bay photo's would also help work out what you have purchased. listy
The only way I can see it pushing 450bhp is with hybrid turbos. The easiest way to roughly gauge what power it *might* have, is to see if it has BPU parts fitted. FMIC Fuel cut defender (Usually found by the ECU in the passenger footwell) Upgraded spark plugs Upgraded fuel pump Double decat (straight through exhaust) with restrictor ring Boost controller set to 1.1/1.2 bar With all that, you can be looking at anything (roughly) between 380-410bhp. If you have hybrid turbos, and running a bit more boost, you may hit 450bhp. Hope this helps.

But that was on syvecs
Dim Sum
Welcome to the forum. Supra is looking good, as people have mentioned about the bhp.
tooquicktostop
Mine ran close to that at the fly, it might be a slight exaggeration but it could be close with the right spec Nice base car IMO, would like to see some more of it
LOGIE
Check your vin plate and make sure it says 2JZ-GTE for an engine code, also check that the trans code says V160. (K reg car) That way you know you haven't bought something that has been converted from a NON turbo or auto trans.
AJI
If the car has a history of being sold in the Bradford area, I'd also be checking to see if it hasn't previously been written off, stolen, cloned, cut and shut, or all of the above. Guigsy
Especially from those muppets though I guess it's made it this far without catching on fire because the fuel lines are not leaking so must at least have been looked after by someone
