I know that the TT auto transmission is different to the N/A

But when i look up for a replacment filter for the autobox they all say A340E, even my vin says A340E which i thought was the N/A transmission?

from what i can find is that there was a A343E but it was never fitted in a supra from what i can tell, its on the list but doesnt show what spec had it fitted

from what i can tell the

N/A has the A340E (ect-s)

TT has the A340E (ect-is)

tip tronic has the A340E (ect-iE)

does anyone know what filter i need to get

and what supras have the A343E David P maybe this is a question for you mate ?

I know the TT one has more soleoids than the NA one. Large grey plug on the passenger side of the tranny controls the solenoids and the TT one has more wires. So my guess would be due to space needed inside the tranny (for solenoids) the filter/strainer design had to be altered.

nice one dave

any chance you understand any of the first post as in the A340E differences does that make sence ?

There is confusion re. trans model no's, I refer to the N/A box as A340E and the T.T. box asa A343E.

The N/A trans has 3 solenoids and a cable for line pressure and the T.T. has 4 solenoids.

Plenty of pics to see these differences here.
