Dan_Q
I don't think my car will fit the bill, but if they are looking for folk who have modified them in different ways then it might be of use. Mine is a stock engine and drivetrain NA with chassis mods only, built for me to learn RWD on the track. Here's a snap of me getting it wrong at snetterton. It will be pulled apart in the next few weeks for tweaks for 2014, but in the unlikliness they are interested in a look before then i'd be up for it. Again, some great cars in this thread- love that supercharged one

James
I would love to put my name down for a feature of sorts, but I'm on a big single turbo so don't fit the bill Being up in Aberdeen doesn't help either in this instance.

Supra_Scott
Some great examples, thanks for the support guys. As for the NA cars, they don't have to be power mods, as we all know when it comes to corners chassis work is where its at, so where you loose out on the straights, time can be made up in the twistys. So brakes, suspension, uprated ARB's etc are just as important here. Like I said at the start of the thread, the article is aimed at being a realistic comparison, it will be good to see all of the cars on track and where all of the strengths and weakness' lie amongst the cars. Supra_Scott
If daywalker is is done by then would you be interested in a pro et drag supra to be included? Thanks for the offer, but the brief for the feature was to show people now that Supras have become more affordable, that there are a variety of options for tuning and engine mods without having a big budget. With NA's coming up for around the £3k mark, you could buy one, go NA-T, TT or even just get a BPU TT for around £6k all in. Leaving you with a 400BHP car and a smile on your face, for less than the price of a new, cheap, eco friendly, boring hatchback.

Supra_Scott
Keep them in guys, as they will all be considered. I've spent a fortune on mine over the years, but the NA-T build was originally only £1200. The fact that a boat load has gone on wheels, brakes, styling.... etc isn't the point. Its about showcasing what can be done. Like I said, you can get an NA for £3k and go NA-T or TT for around another £3k. Likewise you can get a BPU TT for circa £6k. This doesn't mean that if you have a £4k set of wheels, a £2k re-trim and a massive stereo install that you wont be considered.

That is fair comment, just wouldn't want my car to be shown as a feasible way to go for a cheap Supra, not from a stuck up point of view, just wouldn't want to mislead people to the cost of building a Supra like mine Mine has been done for a relatively cheap cost compared to some, but that is mainly relative to the time it has taken, doing it step by step and when the parts I have wanted have come up at a price I can afford My Supra has been built mainly thanks to this Club and it members, through guidance, info and them selling stuff at prices I can afford Edited October 31, 2013 by DodgyRog (see edit history)

listy
Thanks for the offer, but the brief for the feature was to show people now that Supras have become more affordable, that there are a variety of options for tuning and engine mods without having a big budget. Leaving you with a 400BHP car and a smile on your face, for less than the price of a new, cheap, eco friendly, boring hatchback. An auto yes, but a TT6 BPU will still cost around £8k to buy. There is also th factor that anything can be done on the cheap, but how long it lasts is anyones guess. A member on here offered to convert my NA-TT to a single set up, and said it would cost me £1.5k plus ecu and mapping. Awesome price, cheap as chips. But would it last? I doubt it. We all know tuning isn't cheap, regardless of the car. For decent gains from stock, yes, BPU can be had for circa £400 - £500. However, any more than that, is going to cost big bucks. Please oh please just include in the feature that "buy right, buy once" is something to go buy. Cheap = possible disaster.
