Central locking intermittently working

Supra Ems

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone can give me some help with this?

This afternoon I was driving my Supra home from work and I noticed that the doors didn't automatically lock when I started the car. When I pressed the door lock button it also didn't work, although it unlocked the doors after I manually locked them.

When I got home the car wouldn't lock by pressing the alarm key (Toad alarm, fitted approx 6 years ago) but the alarm comes on fine. I locked the doors with the key and left it for a bit.

When I had to go out again later the car unlocked and locked normally with the alarm key and the doors auto locked when I started the car, as normal, but when I got back home afterwards, I had the same problem with it not locking!

The alarm key works to unlock the car but not to lock it.

We have checked the fuses and think it's likely to be a dodgy wire somewhere as it's an intermittent fault at the moment. Does anyone know if there are wiring diagrams on the site or have any other suggestions as to the cause?

Thanks - any advice appreciated. MOT on Saturday but don't think it'll fail for this?
