reeceu
Right long story short my BPU TT has decided to return to stock boost and my controller will not change this?? It had 3 stored settings of .8, 1.0 and .1.2 bar before and one day decided to ignore all of these settings. What may of caused this as I am unsure? Contoller is Gizzmo msII still has restrictor ring Car is running fine just no change in boost. Many thanks
mellonman
probably a split vacuum pipe , but when you say stock boost and you say you had a setting of .8 (which is what i would say stock is ) you also say you have rr fitted but are you full bpu? if so there must be a problem at bpu you would nearly always go over .8 normally around .95 - 1.1 would be the norm gear depending any who check vac pipes, and make sure that the boost solinoid is working. failing that then plumb it back to stock and see what your symptoms are then
SPG
As above, might well be the Solenoid
Nic
May be a daft question but have you checked the boost controller settings? Has the battery run flat? if it has you could have lost the settings. probably a split vacuum pipe , but when you say stock boost and you say you had a setting of .8 (which is what i would say stock is ) you also say you have rr fitted but are you full bpu? if so there must be a problem at bpu you would nearly always go over .8 normally around .95 - 1.1 would be the norm gear depending As you say the baseline BPU boost pressure would normally be higher than stock, but you could see 0.8bar with both the cats removed if the hole in the restrictor ring was small enough or the exhaust was very restrictive eg. collapsed silencer blocking the exhaust flow perhaps. reeceu
Hey guys thanks for the replies. Before the contoller I was running a restrictor and was seeing 1.0-1.2 comfortably. Got the contoller set and all was good. Battery never died so I will go about checking the vac pipes and solenoid tomorrow!
mellonman
Thats odd boost controllers shouldnt be able to lower boost? Im can only control over 20% ie I have to run 20% over what I would make normally so it can control it correctly
