simbasupra
Hi guys, Started to take the engine out to do a rebuild and i have found the radiator mounting plate has corroded where the intercooler pipe bracket bolts on. I think this is part of the chassis and is welded on? Has anyone else had this? Im guessing this part cant be purchased from Toyota. Would i need to get the piece cut out from a scrap supra and weld it on? I have taken two pics, one from under bonnet and one from under car. Thanks

simbasupra
Ahh found it, just came across this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?274186-Radiator-support And its part number is 57104-24021 if anyone else has this problem. Anyone know a ball park figure for someone to come out and weld this on? Edited October 15, 2013 by simbasupra (see edit history)
Kaan W
Check post 1 for how I replaced mine - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?275510-Kaan-s-3-4-Stroked-Wide-Arch-Supra-project!& I had to chop it out and weld another one in, if you can be bothered you can drill the 30 something spot welds out and do it that way. Give Keron a pm he might have one.

simbasupra
Ive just emailed a mobile welder to give me a quote, what kind of price do you guys reckon it will be? just so i know if its a good price or not. The engine will be out by the time it gets done so they will have plenty of room to do it.
Dnk
I did this on my car, the cross member isn't expensive and is around £100 i think from Toyota, or you can cut out the rotten part and weld in a new section. You'll need to remove the water rad and the aircon rad
N-Mir
I have the same problem was searching on here to make sure I get the right part off keron, is there any way of preventing this to happen on the new one? Toyota want £155 keron almost half the price.
