Guest Pricer69
Hey guys I brought myself a 6 branch manifold from america but having a bit of trouble fitting my lambda sensors into it The lambda sensors i have on the car at the mo has some sort of flange attached to it and then bolted down 2 bolts either side, but the new manifold hasn't got the 2 bolt holes either side it has just got the screw in holes for the sensors. My question is is their some sort of adapter that i can screw into the new mani or will the flange on the sensors screw off?? I don't fancy paying £50+ each for 3 brand new sensors I have uploaded some pics to show what i mean. If anyone knows what i could do that'll be a great help. Al Massey
Ok first question Does the manifold fit and not touch the steering column? As in the states those manifolds are for left hand drive Second question 3 sensors? I'm guessing you mean the 2 02 sensors and the cat temp probe? If so the cat temp probe can be cable tied away, doesn't make a difference And if you search for screw type 02 sensors you will find a website in the states where you can get any sensor really cheap

Guest Pricer69
Umm good point I havnt actually fitted it on because I saw that the sensors wouldnt fit. So now im not sure what to do. Theres always something to go wrong when you try buying parts for an import
nevins
If it's fir the left hand drive. Heat it up and reshape it a small amount to clear I had to do it before on my old supra.
Nic
As said, if the manifold is made by a US company it's probably designed to fit a LHD Supra and you may well have problems with it fouling the steering column. Pic in link below is a manifold designed to fit a RHD Supra, the problem area is the outer corner where the 3 pipes merge into 1. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?294624-N-A-decat-rubbing-on-steering-column-safe-to-use&p=3711939&viewfull=1#post3711939r I don't know of any O2 sensor flange adapters, you could buy/fit universal screw in O2 sensors or preferably get flanges made and welded onto the manifold so you can use genuine Supra O2 sensors. There can also be problems with the alignment of the 2 flanges that bolt to the head, check the alignment with a straight edge before fitting.
