Big Supes
So chuffed theyv'e nailed the SFX of the single turbo Supra in Forza 5.... not only have they nailed it, it sounds identical to Jamie P's old Black Beast.
Septic
Got both and gotta say, Killzone is terrible. Absolutely mediocre game. Completed the game on hard and it has the most lackluster campaigns in recent years. MP is completely hollow. Visuals are great though. Xbox Ones install times and update installation are a joke. Can't be bothered with them. The Xbox One is a great machine but I prefer the PS4 at the moment. In terms of exclusive games though, the X1 smashes the PS4 for now. Check out me going hands on with the Kinect and raging lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml530Z7t8FU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml530Z7t8FU

Alex
agreed it's a smart move by Sony, 1 screw removes the hd cage, the downside is the stock hd is a 5400rpm unit which i suppose is one way they've kept cost down Sound like the Hybrid is the way to go... "It turns out that the hybrid drive performed almost as well as the SSD, only lagging a couple of seconds behind the much more expensive SSD. Both drives were noticeably faster than the HDD – around six seconds faster to boot or load a disc-based game, and nearly 20 seconds faster when loading a game installed on the drive." IT Pro Portal The first tested boot times: SSD boots in 19.5 seconds Hybrid boots in 20.3 seconds Default boots in 25.7 seconds So with an SSD, you’ll save 6 seconds every time you boot your PS4 up. Worth the upgrade? Don’t decide just yet. Time it takes to launch disc based game (Knack): SSD: 34 seconds Hybrid: 33.7 seconds Default: 39.7 seconds So you save another 5 seconds when you load a game (in this case, Knack) from a disc. Time it takes to launch download based game from hard drive (Killzone): SSD: 39 seconds Hybrid: 42 seconds Default: 60 seconds http://ps4daily.com/2013/11/ps4-ssd-upgrade/

The single player is completely uninspired. Apart from the inclusion of the OWL, I'm struggling to think of a single thing that makes this anything more than a derivative shooter. Silly scripted on rail sections, cheap over used tactics like throwing a shed led of enemies at you, last encounter was lame, poor voice acting, missed potential with the confusing narrative, it was just mediocre. MP is perfect? You get 7-8 shoddy maps with 3 classes that aren't even that great. They've stripped it down massively from the Killzone 2 and 3. No auto aim is not a problem when you play on a map like Park for instance, and all that involves is spawn camping. Just work your way to the enemy spawn area, park a turrent in one lane and shoot at the doorway leading out of the spawn. I said the graphics are great so why you're comparing it to something as lackluster as cod is beyond me. The game was blatantly rushed to release. Looking at the list of things the devs are supposed to add later from community feedback shows that.
ashbuster
thats one thing i must agree, the class system has been ruined. it was fine before so i dont know why they messed with it. im sure its 10 maps but for some reason most people leave out 3 maps when making the warzones up. with the spawn killing, there is a orange shield type wall that blocks them getting into your spawn so they cant spawn kill, they can get up to that barrier and try and hold you there but if you cook a grenade and run through and chuck it it kills whoever is in the room. alot of people are not very good at killzone and try and treat it like call of duty and if you get those guys on your team then its not very enjoyable. its good to have a couple of mates on with you so they know whats to do and where people are. party chat has destroyed online gaming , no one talks in game no more which makes things not as good. imo its the best shooter out on console
supra joe
Battlefield 4 is full of glitches, bought premium and can't even get on to the maps. Keep getting kicked out of games. Error codes and so many glitches it would take me all day to go through they really need to pull out their finger and sort this apparent next gen title ! I have a hybrid drive and it's fairly pointless if I'm honest. If you keep it clean and only use it as an OS drive it does what it says on the tin. If you partition it or use the additional storage any more than sparingly then the SSD portion of the drive becomes almost confused.... leading to not much better than standard boot/run times. This is all on a PC of course, perhaps a hybrid on the PS4 is different.

Pretty standard for the past couple of BF games.. BF3 was a mess when first released. They should get it right first time round, the amount of patches and gun changes BF3 had was insane. Thorin
Finished the campaign for Kill Zone, it was OK but I didn't think it was all that great. Wasn't blown away with the graphics either. Just started BF4 campaign and immediately thought, yeah this is what I was expecting from next-gen. Kill Zone multiplayer I quite enjoyed, but got a bit bored with the maps. Haven't tried BF4 multiplayer yet.
TuneR
So what does Sony have lined up in the games side of things to combat the heavy hitters from Microsoft (Halo, Forza, Gears, etc.)? I've been discussing this with my brother and i cant see anything better tbh, so id be leaning towards the Xbone. We always had a PS but i've barely turned it on in recent times even though i've gotten new games. There is nothing inspiring me to get the PS4 over the Xbone. My brother has Forza 2/3 on his 360 and it was just as good as GT. I tired of playing GT5 quicker than i expected too. In the end there wasn't much difference in graphics between the PS3 and 360 but the games were better on the 360.

ashbuster
halo is terrible, i thought only americans liked it with the ps4 you have uncharted, infamous and drive club that looks much better compared to forza. all depends what you prefer. most good games are on both anyway all my mates went to ps4 over xbox and they are happy with their choice but by the looks of it they are both good consoles and either way i think you will be happy. i know 3 people that stuck with xboxes and they do have some problems which are minor but 2 of them have had discs been marked, not sure why. i was expecting lag and all sorts of issues with the ps4 because of it being new but i have had no problems at all, i dont have the best internet speeds and im having no issues. i havent heard of any issues from the 3 who stuck with the xbox's kinda funny how they were quick to jump on that ps went down yesterday tho , shame they didnt know it was scheduled maintenance day usually when xbox has maintenance it all goes down but on the ps i could still party chat. i like the new ps controller, much better. feels good to use and the analogue sticks are in the right place

Al Massey
Why do people go on about console only games? So what if xbox has more at the moment, is that the only reason to get an xbox? You probably don't play half those games anyway so why go on and on and on about it! You either like the console and games or not. It's a stupid argument about console only games, and to be honest should it be console only? I've played forza, thought it was a great game, I still ain't getting an xbox because of it. TuneR
halo is terrible, i thought only americans liked it I love Halo since i played it on PC when it first came out, class storyline but a pity it didn't stay on the PC as well as the console. Im not much of an online player anymore, i do the single player missions if i've time. Tbh ill buy one when i've finished with the games i've bought and haven't played recently, which will probably be in two years time lol. Oh and retro gaming is still good, we play Streetfighter 2: Championship Edition and use the N64 every now and then. Generally its with drink and is great craic.
