Suprakeith
Took my car to MGT today to get her dyno'ed, had fun drive their with two mates in Honda civic type r's. I got 173.9 bhp at rear wheels here is picture of dyno graph with results. I came 2nd out of group of mates, my mates girlfriend beat me by 3hp. Am quite shocked with result as did believe would get more from supra but did get loads of advice and help on where to go with my turning. Will post up video bit later when get on laptop, have to had great time at MGT today

Rich.2211
I only made 162rwhp in my NA so that's a good figure!
Suprakeith
Thank you was expecting more if honest
Rich.2211
Thank you was expecting more if honest So was I when mine was dyno'd but all three NA's I've seen on the dyno mine was on all made circa 160-170rwhp so I took it as pretty normal. When I stripped the head off mine it was really coked up, a few valves were slightly pitted etc. so I reckon that may of been the reason it was down on power. Suprakeith
Thank you again as never seen na on dyno didn't know what to expect but if 160-170 is normal then maybe haven't done as bad as thought I had
thomo8568
Think that's good for a NA. Mine made 169@ 6141rpm on the dyno days dyno. What's the full spec of yours? Are you delimited? Not sure if it would make a diffrance or not.
Abz
I got 207 bhp out of mine at Austec Dyno day, that was with stock engine & both cats in also the exhaust bung was stuck!! They will lose some HP over the years, even a service would help.
thomo8568
Any chance of a better photo. Always like to compare graphs. If you can work out what's making that second dip you could maybe gain a bit more.
thomo8568
Well TBH I don't really trust dyno results to much. I've had two done on my car, both with no major changes to car. I've had results from 169bhp @ wheels to 249bhp @ fly lol. How can two dumps give such different results.? What BHP did the type Rs make? Rich.2211
Mine was at Dynodaze too.
Scott
What was the mates GFs car? Was it stock?
Jord
Not too shabby!
Suprakeith
Will put up better picture of graph when get home and the R's made 171 and 176, my spec is Whifbitz 1st decat and 2nd decat with veilside exhaust and hks induction kit, the car is de-limited. Also will upload the video I took of dyno run
Suprakeith
What was the mates GFs car? Was it stock? The mates GFs car was induction kit and exhaust but to get the 176 they moved induction kit as car was suffering with heat soak and was making 163 before they adjusted induction kit. Scott
176 would indicate a 12% transmission loss in the CTR. If you can find out if that's accurate, it will show the accuracy of the dyno.
thomo8568
176 would indicate a 12% transmission loss in the CTR. If you can find out if that's accurate, it will show the accuracy of the dyno. Is that right? I thought 176 from 225 was closer to a 22% loss?
Justin Bieber
Is that right? I thought 176 from 225 was closer to a 22% loss? CTR's are 197bhp from factory bud
