JamieP
Sure you don't mean 996? Decent 993's start at about £20k last time I looked.
Havard
Need to have a look on PH but 993's are the last of the air cooled engines and generally come in at a higher price than a 996.
Abz
Pretty sure you mean the 996's? The most common issue I know of is the RMS & IMS failures, was even a huge lawsuit in the US about this! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=848508
Guest aspire
993, last of the air cooled hand built true 911's. holding the money well, as above a good clean example 18,000+ go for the manual varioram engined ones. rarity is on their side now so expect to pay a good price for a 1995 onward. but lots have been accident prone so a cat d or c still commands £13,000 for a total loss but back on the road. not sure about turbo kits, the 933 turbo still commands serious money.... Supra Kong
996's are cheaper to run than earlier 993 or 964 models... A little uninspiring though compared.. You can tune them up ok, but it's big money!!! Save up and get a 996 turbo....
dr_jekyll
the turbo is alot more expensive than the na. fabing up the parts to ad a small single to the na wouldnt be too expensive . jus questiongingthe strenghtof the na components .
