Dim Sum
There are lots of thread containing boost controller install. Not trying to be rude, have to search sometimes. Here's a few link The plumbing are the same no matter what boost controller you have. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?145933-install-boost-controller http://www.addictiveperformance.com/Images/hallman-toyota-supra-install.jpg http://www.97supraturbo.com/Pictures%20for%20Posting/%231%20Turbo%20EBC%20Hookup.jpg
girth45
Do you not link both actuators to solenoid? Surely linking only one actuator will only control boost on one. - - - Updated - - - Do you not link both actuators to solenoid? Surely linking only one actuator will only control boost on one. Gpro
no you only connect it up to the actuator above the first turbo (Towards the front of the car) Connect turbo pressure (IN) connect to top of actuator (Out) Block off the port in the middle of the actuator

girth45
OK guys, thanks. But is that the optimal installation. I have read another article and that plumbs both actuators, it is on a 1jz engine in a mk 3.

girth45
And here's me thinking this was a forum for discussion and assistance, you are obviously arrogant and ill educated, you do not know me but make an assumption, if you have nothing good to say then say nothing! Dim Sum
The forum is for discussion and assistance, but sometimes it requires you to do your bit too You can imagine the amount of threads we get discussing the same topic, so it can be very repetitive. We are get along here but try and be nice or the mods will get you
Dim Sum
What mellonman posted about the link is very good. It will give you a better understanding how the 2JZ works. Good luck with the install

girth45
I had read the article previously, they talk of using two mechanically controllers, now to plumb into one turbo surly means only one is being controlled, there seems to be different ways of doing this all I was asking was which one is best and why, if you can't answer that then why be rude, you wouldn't say it to my face I assure you. - - - Updated - - - I had read the article previously, they talk of using two mechanically controllers, now to plumb into one turbo surly means only one is being controlled, there seems to be different ways of doing this all I was asking was which one is best and why, if you can't answer that then why be rude, you wouldn't say it to my face I assure you. Dim Sum
Are you talking about Stuart Hagen's EBV mod? I personally have not tried it myself, but what I have posted with before about the install with links and etc. I am sure 99% of the members here who drives a BPU with a boost controller will be running with that set-up. Why not share the info you have on it with links and etc and maybe other members can share a light into this.
girth45
Yes it is a version of it, the article mellonhead linked to is a version of it, I am only asking the question, piping into turbo 1 obviously works as you say many have it this way , my question is it the best way, that was all. Big Mark
I've got a SBC boost controller fitted to my car, I know it's not the same but if you want to have a nose under the bonnet you're more than welcome.
Dim Sum
SBC boost controller will probably be fitted just like any other boost controller, just like the links I have provided. About the Stuart Hagen's EBV mod. It really have nothing to do with the boost controller, he is bypassing or re-routing hoses to get more boost at low revs. If you are not sure, and you don't seen to fully understand yet. Play it safe and just fit the boost controller and adjust the boost to 1.1 to 1.2bars. Ignore Stuart Hagen's EBV mod and etc. One step at a time.
