No. 6 cylinder problem

Ok Tricky Ricky, once I have everything back to 'normal' I will recalibrate it. Do you think that my measurements are way off?

Yes those AFRs are way out from what they should be, so you obviously have fueling problem going by the plug, but the AFRs could also be out due to problems with the sensor calibration or otherwise.

I think that from what I have read from the earlier link that was given to me in this thread, that I have either Pre-ignition or detonation problem with the No.6 chamber, rather than a fuel problem, as all other chambers are looking fine, by referring to the condidtion of the plugs, but I will check all avenues before trying to start her up again. And as you also say, that my WideBand meter must be way out of calibration. I think that I need to get the head off and have a good look (and cry) and also get the mapping checked. Thanks for all your help Tricky Ricky and others.

if you are running extremely lean on cylinder 6 due to not enough fuel then you could get pre ignition detonation due to the extreme heat. Someone correct me if i am wrong

I must say, that it is possible that I am not getting enough fuel, because I did put a problem down to the last lot of coil packs being faulty, where there are white lines appearing around the ground electrodes on two or three of the other five plugs. I haven't had that problem sine I changed my coil packs though.

Detonation only usually occurs for three reasons, 1/ not enough fuel for the amount of air ingested, 2/ ignition timing over/under advanced, and 3/ in cylinder temps too high, which is actually pre ignition, these can all be related to one another in cause and effect.

Melted plugs are usually the first sign of det, although not always, and unfortunately there is usually more damage that doesn't immediately show up like damaged ring lands etc
