rob_sri
I've been doing some research into NA-T recently and there is ALOT of completely different set ups.. thought it would be a good idea to collect everyones NA-T specs in one place so we can see the effects of running different set ups and its reliability + performance, and also who has pushed the boundaries of what the GE can handle! If this has already been done and i've missed it then if you're a mod feel free to delete this thread What I'm proposing is you post the following information: 1 or 2 pictures followed by these headers Internal engine Mods (inc head work, cams etc): Compression Mods: Turbo Choice: Wastegate: intake manifold: Induction: Exhaust (size + make) inc manifold: Cooling mods: engine management: Boost control: Injectors and fueling: Ignition, plugs etc: any other electrical supporting mods: mapped by: gearbox, clutch and drivetrain: Power: Torque: Boost pressure: Date converted: Problems during build (or least favourite part ): any running issues encountered: any RR printouts to support! feel free to add any other headers for useful info that I may have missed along the way. monkey76364
Mine is going to Paul at Whifbitz tomorrow. Using his new NA-t kit plus ordered in a boost logic auto box and other parts, will be changing for TT pistons and other parts. The aim is 500-550bhp for the build. Once I get more details on all parts we decide, plus pics and dyno graphs I can update

Date completed: 31st August 2013 Problems during build (or least favourite part): Exhaust manifold stud thread was stripped inside the head so had to V Coil the head to fit a new stud and the oil return line is awkward to fit under the turbo. Lastly, one I don't see mentioned much, the oil return flange I used sat quite proud of the side of the oil pan meaning it caught on a thread for the power steering rack. Stripped head bolt. *update* flutter appears to be from a gap between turbo and manifold. The gearbox removal was an utter pita, have a friend help and get a head bearing removal tool. Removal of the head is probably easier with the engine out otherwise to get some of the lower runner bolts requires removal of the starter motor. Found a stripped head bolt as I was removing the head, requires drilling out and removal of all swarf. any running issues encountered: Running lean due to injector resistors being wrong( now fixed), Variable fuel pressue - tube from pump to hanger split and was leaking. any RR printouts to support! one at 250BHP at Dyno tune running 5 cylinders but mega lean. feel free to add any other headers for useful info that I may have missed along the way. Rich.2211
Rich I just noticed you don't have the mahoosive crash bar on the front of your car, did you remove it? Yes mate I removed it, the intercooler sits quite far forward and I want to make some proper ducting up for it and the crash bar was in the way. Edit - Just an update to this post.. I've now bought a new crash bar and bumper foam as I wasn't happy without it and it made the front bumper sag.
