Guest aspire
was this easy listy? and did you use hammerite smooth?
listy
Yes mate. 2 or 3 coats of smooth, letting them dry over night for the first coat, and 3 days after the second before fitting.
C12MMO
Two coats of smooth red on mine. As Listy says do one coat and leave over night then another coat.
Nic
I'd recommend using Foliatec brake caliper paint, it's a 2 part paint which you mix a hardener into. It brushes on very easily and gives a very hard wearing, gloss finish (it doesn't react to brake fluid like other paints can). One can is more than enough to do a full set of the larger calipers. One tip if you do use it, don't mix the entire tin at once as you only have half an hour or so to apply the paint before it starts to set. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/foliatec-caliper-paint
TuneR
I'd recommend using Foliatec brake caliper paint Does that stuff clean up well? Hammerite is fine but it does get stone chipped imo.
Andrew K
I've just ordered some of that Foliatec brake calliper paint but in mat black so see how it goes Can anybody tell me where you get the supra logo decals from?
Rob W
eBay mate, about a tenner iirc.

It's a lot harder wearing than Hammerite, it brushes on easier and gives a better finish. Powder coating would give the hardest wearing finish but it's more expensive
