C_Strike
so the above picture is how it rests at the moment. so this is how it rests naturally.. a view from the oem rear bumper exhaust recess

Nic
Looks like the bracket on the back box needs removing and turning the other way around so it hangs on the opposite side.
listy
Try and fit the rubber on the other side of the hangar, and see if it will pull it across to the correct position? It might be a bit of a struggle, but should make it fit better. The exhaust should have a bit of give.
C_Strike
to me the 'hook' (bracket attached to car) looks like its useable on both sides. there is a slight difference between the two hooks which led me to think the rubbers are of a wrong design or the hook in use has been slightly modified to fit. the exhaust certainly has enough play to manouver it to the correct position, its just keeping pressure to keep it there. so maybe turning around the bracket? i think just changing the exhaust strap round wont keep enough pressure to keep in position and will potential pull itself free of the bracket? tho it should position it better
suprasurrey
Could you have a look at the rear end of the first silencer please. It looks like there may be a join there, but it`s not very clear in the image. If there is a join you could twist the back box anti clockwise and get a much better fit. Get a universal rubber exhaust ring, and (looking from the back) hook it over the left hand "hook" on the car bracket, and over the bracket on the exhaust. I very much doubt it would pull off. If anything, there would be more pressure, making it less likely. Like so: Edited September 9, 2013 by listy (see edit history)
suprasurrey
I`ve been thinking a little more about this and am pretty sure that this is a two piece exhaust. Why would you have a moveable bracket on the rear silencer if the silencer was not moveable in relation to the front silencer, which has a solid welded bracket? Most after market exhausts are two piece for ease of shipment and alignment.
C_Strike
well the picture in post no2 with the exhaust on me dogs quilt(sorry dog) shows the exhaust. everything in the picture is one piece. i did wonder if the decat set the rest of the exhaust at a funny angle.. maybe it was modified to fit the old exhaust? only time iv previously chamged the exhaust was for an oem and that fit without problems as youd expect.
