SupraLEDrears
Hi lads Needed my geometry done and they told me that I would need to replace all the relevant bushes. Has anyone had it done? It's for all four wheels and also are the toyota ones ok or are there better ones out there for a similar price? It's on a 93 manual NA. Thanks in advance
paulj1
I was told same thing enquired with local Mr T and they said you had to buy new arms as the didn't sell new bushes. But I see super pro do a kit
markssupra
Super pro or R2 racing bushes, if the ball joint is sloppy then its new arms which are quite expensive but the best option. IIRC new rear upper arms are approx £400 each, I priced up renewing all the rear arms a few years back and it worked out about £1800, so I changed all the bushes with R2's instead. MVP can supply R2 bushes.

TBDevelopments
how are people rating the drivability on the poly bushes? i remember looking and a few people were saying it made the car very rough feeling, lots of vibration and road noise. Was i johnny G who had them and removed them again within a month. i know it was one of the big name members Tim
Dnk
Some rate them some hate them. I replaced all my suspension arms inc the adjusters etc with O/E Toyota and the parts bill alone was over £3k and that was a few years ago. If you have a ramp and are really geared up for the job it'll take you a good hard days work to replace like for like. Maybe longer if you have to cut some off due to the adjusters being seized and are impossible to get out. Kirk
Poly bushes may seem a cheaper option but for the work involved in removing and refitting the new ones, especially on all four corners, you may as well just bite the bullet and buy new arms. As dnk said, getting the adjusters out is nigh impossible a times, they will also need replacing.
gavin.starr
Hell of a job for on the driveway. I did all my rear suspension components with genuine toyota replacements around a 2 years ago. Expensive but worth it.
SupraLEDrears
Just came back from my mechanic and it's one of the arms with the balljoint on that needs replacing. That's why it destroyed my tyre and the geometry was out. All the other bushes are fine apparently
suprahsuprah
you can order online whiteline polyutherane bushing, these are known for their durability and better handling. you order a complete package. the aluminium upper front arm including balljoint will set you back about 300 Euro/ +- 200 pounds,

All the other bushes are fine apparently Bar the strut rod that fits on the rear all the arms, upper and lower have ball joints, the rear uppers are the most expensive Try Keron if your only changing one arm, see if he's got a second hand one in good condition.
