lewysdanny Posted September 3, 2013 Share Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Hey Guys , dropped a spanner onto the battery terminals, then bang , and now no power from the battery. I,ve checked the battery , and its got a full charge, but still no power. Any ideas ??? Cheers :eyebrows: Just wondering if its a blown fuse . If it is where would I find this fuse ??? stevie_b Posted September 3, 2013 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Can't help with your question, but it reminded me of a story I've heard where a Royal Navy engineer dropped a huge spanner across the terminals of a battery that powered one of the old-style diesel submarines... Scott Posted September 3, 2013 Share Posted September 3, 2013 You got very lucky there bud, contact time must have been minimal as that can blow the battery big time. Big 120A fuse will be the culprite, as mentioned. It's a bit of a pest to get to, you need to remove the fusebox, remove the fuse rack from the fusebox and then undo the nuts underneath that hold the fuse in place.
