TBDevelopments
on my facelift everything lights up apart from the temperature controls. looking at the unit the letters are just stamped on over being a cut lens to allow light through when the bulb is illuminated. Yet on the pre facelifts it appears that the entire panel including the temperature controls light up at night. Is this just on mind, and does anyone know if there interchangable. It is a little annoying not having this light up, but then again i'm OCD lol Tim
Nic
The heater control unit is identical on the pre-facelift and facelift models - same part number on the EPC - the buttons and knobs should all light up green when the lights are on. TBDevelopments
mmm right ok, can someone confirm that the temperature controls alight light up green. everything does on mine apart from the temp numbers. Looking on google appears some light up others appear to be non light up. Which made me think there was a difference between facelift and pre but obviously not. heckler
Sounds like a bulb has gone, yes there is a bulb that lights up the numbers.
TBDevelopments
lol i thought they used to. but wasn't sure if i was going nuts. then did a google search and a few others i found were also dark on that dial only. I'll rip it apart this weekend and swap out the bulb Tim
Scooter
Try a firm tap/whack on the dash, my old one would be intermittent so it's probably another dry solder/lose connection thing...

TBDevelopments
i've got one of those in my main clocks so learnt that trick. Its all getting ripped out shortly to install a repainted dash panels with avcr blended into the centre one so i'll redo all the bulbs etc then.
