Speedo doesnt light up - odometer switches off??

Hi, just recently i took the supra interior apart, to have all the surfaces painted. After i installed it all again, i now experience an anoying issue. The speedo/rev. Counter/fuel and engine heat gauge doesnt light up when i switch on the driving lights. What does happen however, is that the odometer turn off, when i turn the driving light/headlamps on - very strange and annoying. The rest off the dash clusters works fine, a/c, radio and so on. Ive tjecked the dimmer switch, tried turning it all the way up, fitted another one and tried bypassing it, but to no good. Ive searched the forum and googled for help, i found other forums, with ppl. Who had facdd similar problems, but no answer to the issue was given. Ive tjecked for lose wires, connector etc. Ive even replaced the odometer and dimmer switch, but as ive written above, the problem is still there. No light in speedo cluster when headlamps are turned on(no light in it, when they are off, just to clarify) and odometer turns off when headlamps turn on and when the speedo cluster was supposed to light up.

i really feel ive done what i could do and im really hoping for some help.

Thanks alot guys!!

Regards Mikkel

Well im as sure as i can be, without being 100% sure, ive disconnected it all and plugged in it several times over the past couple of days, while ive been looking for whatever is causing these problems! Ive looked for bent or damaged pins in the multiple connectors, but they all seem to be an perfect working order!
