Guest Roger NE
Can anybody tell me if there is just a single pipe for the High Pressure feed from the Power Steering Pump to the Steering Rack? If not, what does it actually consist of? (Can't find any diagrams anywhere) Is it a steel pipe, a rubber hose, or combination of both? Hartmann
it is a combination of high pressure hose and tubing crimped together ..
Havard
Do not go to Toyota if you need a replacement hose. They wanted about £60 off me for a replacement. I went to a hydraulic hose specialist and gave him the hose. They matched the specification and pressure ratings for £6.00. I still have a metre of it at home. Guest Roger NE
Well I wouldn't go to Toyota . . . But the problem is I am fitting a 2JZ-GE in my Mk3 Supra . . . . so don't have an existing Mk4 hose to compare or give to a company to make one up! I was thinking of getting a complete flexible hose from Driftmotion in the USA, but even then would have to make sure they make up a LONGER one, as theirs is for LHD cars (so a shorter run to the rack) . . . and I it's also £43, which I think is quite expensive ! So Harvard, did your local company make it all up with new fittings, etc? Edited August 28, 2013 by Roger NE (see edit history)

I assumed it was the hose only and they used the existing fittings. If you do not have the original hose then it will be a problem. Someone on here must have details of the spec required.
