Guest aspire
had a search, but nothing highlighted. Question 1) is the crank pulley same for NA & TT Question 2) if i was to purchase an uprated crank dampener eg, TITAN i need a longer belt, this is being listed as the jza80 gte, will this still be fitment for the NA? reason being im building up a decent NA-T. listy
Most people will tell you there is no need to get an "uprated" crank pulley. They are more for show than anything. Most stick with the oem pulley, even when chasing big numbers. As far as I am aware, the pulleys are the same though.

listy
Not 100% sure on the GE-GTE being the same though. Best to wait for a firm answer on that one.
Kaan W
GTE and GE cranks have the same part number so they should do mate.
Guigsy
I had an uprated crank pulley. Turned out to be a right pita. The fit was too tight and it was iffy and was shredding belts. I Put a stock one back on. Problem solved
Kaan W
Do you mind me asking why Guigsy?

Guigsy
Me to? ATI's hole diameter was 34.95mm Stock is 35.04 The ATI was an interference fit. They had right trouble getting it off. It's shredded 3 aux belts while it was on the car in my ownership of a bit over a year
Kaan W
Could it have not been installed correctly or something else causing the belts to fail? Do you have an auto?

Guigsy
It's a 6 speed. I took it to the garage reporting that it was shredding belts. Initially we thaught it was the AC as it started after it was refitted but the alignment and everything was checked on them and they were all fine. Including the ATI crank pulley. They couldn't explain it so decided to pull it off to double check it. But it wouldn't move.
Guest aspire
did you fit the extra long belt also?
Swampy442
Its also the same as a 1JZ damper. For the same amount of cash Id get a new stock one, as recommended above.
Guigsy
No I left the shorter one on.... Yes I did it had a gates belt and 2 Toyota ones. All started to be chewed up after a few k miles. Thankfully I spotted it. One was during Dragonball and I only had 2/3 of a belt left to make it from holand to the uk

Dim Sum
This has been a interesting read, because I have been thinking about replacing mine. So a OEM one or Whifbtiz crank pulley can hold big BHP? For example If I was going down a single turbo route 650BHP would be fine
Guigsy
My single is 520 and its fine. Iv been told it should be fine for anything I'm likely to throw at it in the future

antno
The ati crank pulley instructions say that you may have to open out the pulley to get the right tolerance. It was to do with them being able to work with aftermarket cranks that weren't the exact size of oem. The belt size needed is a 6pk1969 for ati Std size 6pk1936 Std pulley without aircon is 1865 according to someone on here So I guess correct me if I'm wrong it would be 1898 for ati with aircon removed. Think gates does a 6pk1900. That's just for anyone who does a search
