kubus1
Is there any way to stop the radio aerial extending every time I switch the radio on?? I took my car thru the car wash last week ( i know, i won't do it again) and I was stupid enough to listen to the radio. So, it got broken. I managed to fit the aerial into the slot but it sticks out a bit. If I can stop it from extending when I switch the radio on I could still listen to the radio when I get the stronger signal. I ordered the new one but I have to go to Poland tomorrow and I dont really fancy 1000 miles without a radio. Any help?? thanks Cuba
THOR Racing
Try doing this..... Placing a switch in the power feed to the auto-antenna as shown on the attached drawings. Radio WITHOUT the power AMP. "antenna_control.jpg" (Attached to this posting) Radio WITH the power AMP. "antenna_control1.jpg" (Attached to next posting) No idea if it works, just thought it up. Matt Harwood
I'm fairly sure that you'd need to wire it via a relay so that the wire goes to ground when switched off. Otherwise, if you switch it off with the radio on, the aerial will stay up. Sorry, I don't have the facility to draw a diagram at the moment.. Pete? THOR Racing
Sort of like this, only without a relay Pete
