Nic
Anyone got a manual for one of these? Mine's in Japanese and isn't helping I don't think they were ever sold outside of Japan, so there probably never was a manual in English. The TOMS ECU basically raises the fuel cut, removes the speed limiter, may raise the rev limit and is mapped for more performance.
SPG
Make sure to check your ABS is working after the install of this ECU, as some TOMS ecu's leave you with a disable ABS situation
red_zebra
Ok cheers guys, so I wouldn't need to bother with a FCD if I raised the boost to 1.2, I guess there's one easy way to find that out. That's interesting about the ABS... I haven't got any brake warning lights showing, I'll have to go and find somewhere quiet to stand on the brakes and find out. Did all Supra's come with ABS as standard?
Nic
You shouldn't need an FCD, not sure if the TOMS ECU disables the fuel cut completely or raises it to a certain level. I tested A TOMS ECU years ago on my Supra and it also stopped the ABS from working. Some of the early Supras didn't have ABS as standard, it you post up a pic of the engine bay we'll be able to tell you if yours does or not. red_zebra
Well that saves me a job with the FCD then I haven't locked up any wheels under braking yet but then I haven't really used them in anger either. here's a piccy of the engine bay
Chris Wilson
A journey without ABS action is called a cruise in these here parts.
