Hi all im new to the forums :)

anyway im having an issue at the moment where my car has just ticked over to 200,000k's (bear with me thats not the issue)

the warning lights (the ones pointed out in the pic below) are randomly coming on and going out together at the same time when im driving..

any advice on what it is? i dont seem to have any loss of power or faults and this does not at all affect the way the car drives or is used (doesnt affect lights etc)

Are they coming on bright and solid or are they dimly glowing, flickering, varying in brightness?

sometimes it varys im pretty sure, i hope its not alternator but i can go test it with a multimeter but im running a decent size stereo and i have ran an extra 4gauge cable from alt to battery to charge it better and also added an alternator chassis to ground cable in 0gauge to help charge better

if they are all coming on at once like that it's often an alternator related fault...

ill check it in a minute

Yep - sounds like another alternator packing up.

Check the output with a multimeter (check across battery with engine running)

will do

If you've hacked around the charging system just to fit a big bombastic bass system then all bets are off :)

all i did was chop the shitty terminals off at the battery and run them into a distro block, ill be redoing that aspect when my new terminals come anyway
