Steve
You will need a GSS342 for the J Spec. Speak to the traders on here. Vortex do them for £85 i think Hope this helps

chilli
Hey excuse me for being dumb, I also want a walbro fuel pump and FPR for my j-spec car and assumed I would need to fit the 255lph pump to the fuel tank and the FPR in the engine bay, then I see you have this "Walbro Pump and FSE FPR Combo" http://miami-gt.com/product_info.php/products_id/512?osCsid=4702a41faffc45b9894f324dc5e586eb How does this work, does it fit in the tank, if so how do you adjust it? I assume I'm being really dumb and it fits externally or something, but I've never changed one before...
Dragonball
Not a huge job at all mate - suggest that you watch it being done first time...then you will be fine from there FPR is more complex and should really be done by someone competant (which rules me out!) Paul K at Max-GT can do both!
chilli
Ok from what you say then I realise that although they are sold as a combo, they are still just two seperate items (and I was indeed being dumb) - so fitting is as per normal. For some reason I thought they had managed to combine the pump and regulator into one unit, doh! What is so difficult about the FPR, can't I just fit it somewhere in the engine bay and then re-route the fuel pipes to/from it, so that the old one is no longer used at all? Dragonball
In effect yes m8 - just depends on your level of mechanical ability - sorry if underestimated
Guest Terry S
Chilli there are good threads on here about the pump removal/replacement( Matt Harwood did a Blow by Blow on it). If anything the FPR is easier to do not harder as suggested. Its all down to whether you understand the system or not. As long as you get the correct adaptor onto the fuel rail for the return, then its a piece os p*ss, just mounting the FPR and connecting a few hoses. Unless you are going to use a quality FPR though, I would suggest just replacing the pump for now. PM me if you need any info.
chilli
Thanks for the advice then, I'll search for that thread as I'd like to replace the in-tank pump with a walbro asap as I'm de-catting and starting to think of some tuning bits and bobs... Soonto"has"supe recommended this FPR - http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=206&SearchYN=N so in the absence of a better recommended FPR, I'll probably go for this one. With the pump and this fitted I then plan to fit the emanage ultimate and wideband 02 to get the most out of my stock turbo's, before thinking then of anything more radical. thats the plan anyway
