And Eastenders, Cheers and the various drink related booze warehouses. For cigs and tabacco products, your better off shooting up the A16 just over the French/Belgium border on your way home junction 1 or 1A if i remember correctly (Adinkerke)
MrDriver
Who other than me is coming from Germany/Denmark/Netherlands? Convoy? I'm from Belgium, happy to join you on the way to the meet if I don't have to make a to big detour. It's allready more then 300 kilometers for me. Jspec Germany
Right on Peter, I'm driving from Germany through the Netherlands to Belgium on the E40 around Belgium up towards Jabbeke and then onto Calais via E40/A16. Are you driving along that route? Are you bringing any Chimay?
MrDriver
Right on Peter, I'm driving from Germany through the Netherlands to Belgium on the E40 around Belgium up towards Jabbeke and then onto Calais via E40/A16. Are you driving along that route? Are you bringing any Chimay? My route goes like this; around Hasselt I take the E313/A13 to Antwerp, then on the E17/A14 towards Jabbeke. We should meet each other at a service station. Greets
Jspec Germany
Perfect. Lets meet first exit north of the A314/313 junction. We are probably less than an hour from each other.
Jiversteve
Hi again guys, I have a bit more info for you all on local knowlege. I pop down to Berck quite often, a couple of clicks north of Fort Mahon. I dont know what route Paul E has arranged but if you take J25 off the A16 (the Berck turn off) onto the D303 and head towards town it will take you straight pass a pretty large Carrefour supermarket and a few other shops. At the McDonalds roundabout hang a left into the D904 and off the Fort Mahon Plage. If Paul E's schedule is still as is you may just hit lunchtime closing for the smaller shops but Carrefour is open till 9:00 to 20:00. You may need your passport to buy but chip and pin seems to work for me (perhaps because they recognise me) Carrefour has a limited stock of booze if you all hit it at the same time. I have no intention of finding out the opening times of McDonalds. There are some shops in Rang Du Fliers, a supermarket was open for Sunday morning there, unlike Carrefour, but I have not used it for a while so can't be sure. I have attached a map of the above stuff that may help. For the Booze hounds there are several places in Calais. I tend to use Majestic if I am on a tight timetable as I can pre-order before I leave the UK. Some of the other places do the same service but I have no experience of them. Thats about it for now if i think of anything more I will add it. PS: Advice from a Police Class One driver: Drive on the right when in France.
