Paul372
No not at that price, I got mine from Toyota cost me about £400 - £
peter richards
obviously not , but mines been in for a while now temps are bang on , so even if I get 5 + out of it it will be ok. think about it the original lasted 18 years , the car wont last that long , so no point paying mr t that sort of money when youll probably need to replace something else quite soon, damage limitation now I think . only just this year got mine back running , if it becomes a money pit then its gone Edited August 4, 2013 by peter richards (see edit history)
safcdixon
Theres a few used oem ones on ebay if you would rather have oem, but for £88 you cant really go wrong How was the fitiment on that one Peter? Did it have the auto cooler built in too?

tomgeer
My usual toyota parts dealer has told me the stock oem radiator is discontinued and unavailable, is that true Edited August 6, 2013 by tomgeer (see edit history)
safcdixon
My usual toyota parts dealer has told me the stock radiator is discontinued and unavailable, is that true Really i find that hard too believe tbh its a degradable part, stupid decision by toyota if its true, but then looking at the prices above you cant blame poeple for going aftermarket
slugger1
yes straight swap cooler in it, the mechanic did have a few screws or something under he had to drill due to rust , but didn't charge me any extra for the fit I think mine is on it's way out as well so mght be interested in one of these. Chris Wilson
I have access to some OEM ones at great prices. Toyota now want an old rad in exchange which suggest you may be buying re-conned units. If your dealer can get them at all. I have not got conclusive evidence of whether they have stopped making them yet, some dealers say yes, some no.... There are FAR more OEM variants than most realise, I need a high res photo of the rear face of your rad showing all the fan shroud pick up points, and need to know how thick the actual core is, front to back, plus whether it's for an auto or not. There's absolutely no reason not to use an auto rad on a manual, but if you have an auto you NEED or an auto rad, with the gearbox cooler in the bottom tank, or you are in for hassle and expense with external coolers. If you put an auto rad on a manual you get a great PAS cooler for nearly free, to replace the now corroding but of bent pipe Toyota saw fit to use. Car owners doing track days should consider this, tight tracks can cause extremely high PAS fluid temps and rack problems with the stock cooler.... jim
I have access to some OEM ones at great prices. Rough idea on price please Mr Wilson? I've had no bother to date but it's one of those things I keep thinking I should change given the age of the car now.
