Toyota now want an old rad in exchange which suggest you may be buying re-conned units. If your dealer can get them at all. I have not got conclusive evidence of whether they have stopped making them yet, some dealers say yes, some no.... There are FAR more OEM variants than most realise, I need a high res photo of the rear face of your rad showing all the fan shroud pick up points, and need to know how thick the actual core is, front to back, plus whether it's for an auto or not. There's absolutely no reason not to use an auto rad on a manual, but if you have an auto you NEED or an auto rad, with the gearbox cooler in the bottom tank, or you are in for hassle and expense with external coolers. If you put an auto rad on a manual you get a great PAS cooler for nearly free, to replace the now corroding but of bent pipe Toyota saw fit to use. Car owners doing track days should consider this, tight tracks can cause extremely high PAS fluid temps and rack problems with the stock cooler....
