Pixelfill
Hi all, I've isolated the source of my leak to one of the hoses to the stock autobox cooler. Does anyone know the part numbers to replace them? Mike

Does anyone know the part numbers to replace them? Mike Not off the top of my head but is it not in the workshop manual? I'm not at home otherwise I'd look for you! Pixelfill
Not in the workshop manual, should be in the EPC, but don't currently have that installed
Nic
I know very little about the autobox but I assume it's one of these 2 pipes? 32921-14270 or 32922-14270 http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/9429/zimv.jpg Edited August 4, 2013 by Nic (see edit history)
Pixelfill
Hi Nic, thanks for that - It's the two rubber hoses at the front. Labelled 32922A - Hose (For Oil Cooler Outlet) and 32921D - Hose (For Oil Cooler Inlet) in your diagram. If I'm reading it correctly the part numbers are 32942-14110 and 90445-17102. Pixelfill
Picked these up today, can't fathom Toyota prices though. One hose just over a fiver, the other just under £25 !! BY-PASS HOSE T90445-17102 £5.73 + Vat HOSE, OIL COOLER T32942-14110 £23.95 + Vat CLIP T90467-16022 £2.47 + Vat When changing these is there anything I need to be aware of, I.e. when I disconnect from the cooler is the contents of the gearbox going to come loosing out, or will I lose relatively little oil? Kirk
The contents of the cooler in the rad and the line to the rad will most likely empty themselves so get something clean to catch it with and put it back in when you're done.
Chris Wilson
These seem to be giving trouble now. I have saved people money by buying straight hose and slightly bending the stel pipes to allow a none kinked bend with straight stuff gently formed to fit. Be SURE to use a suitable type of rubber. I think my last roll came from Faye at Speedflow (http://www.speedflow.co.uk). - - - Updated - - - The contents of the cooler in the rad and the line to the rad will most likely empty themselves so get something clean to catch it with and put it back in when you're done. Two old spark plug porcelains are a good fit, with the stock spring steel clips securing the hoses. But unless you start the engine not much will come out. Pixelfill
Cheers for the suggestions. Managed to change the hose nice and easily, but I'm having a mare with the fluid level. I'm warming up the car (shortish drive), then going through the gears, check the level whilst in either P or N and it is showing in the cold section. When I add more oil the next time I check the level I can't see anything on the dipstick except a very thin almost clear film . I presume the extra oil is reducing the temperature, and hence it's dropping off the bottom of the dipstick. Anybody know roughly how much oil takes the level from cold to hot ( when warmed up) I'm paranoid about over filling. Mike
