wewsupra
Im going to usc sunday day time and today i was going to paint my intercooler front bit black, but i orderd some alloys weeks ago (jade r 19 inch in silver) The wheel company phoned me yesterday saying there in the shop ready to fit ,so i phoned them and said saturday mid day will be fine. will it look odd if i spray intercooler black and the wheels are silver for this car show ? ie should i wait untill i get it all done together. p.s i dont have time to spray alloys in time(black or what ever colour i decide) what you guys think please Edited August 2, 2013 by wewsupra (see edit history)
Alex
Spraying the actual intercooler is not recommended. It will not convect heat as designed...might as well remove it.

I wouldnt spray an intercooler. Its only going to restrict the air flow through it.
wewsupra
ok cool .i did think about putting a light spray of black on it but if you think it a bad idea ill leave it be then. thanks for replys
Tricky-Ricky
Never seen any difference in efficiency from spayed or non sprayed intercooler, air flow through it both ways is far more important.
David P
Best thing to spray it with is water, or water/methanol mix.
Dnk
Is it ducted ? if not i wouldn't worry about its performance too much
skippyboyo1
If you do spray it defo go silver! The black will make it look like you have a massive hole with nothing in it
sideexitsupra
Surely black will radiate the heat better? Or is it just a wives tale?
